Cain killed his brother Abel. God tried to call him to repentance. Rather than owning it, Cain asked the question that still resounds in homes and hallways and hearts today: “Am I my brother’s keeper?” Actually, Cain, yes; yes, you are. We all are. We all are our brother’s keeper. We all are called – within our immediate families, within our extended families, within the family of believers – to be our brother’s keeper. We all are called to take an active interest in the spiritual and physical and emotional well-being of those around us. God calls us to care. God calls us to watch. God calls us to listen. God calls us to speak. Honestly? Quite simply? God calls us to love. Take Time. Take Time Together. Take Time Together to love. Hear more in worship this weekend!
