We pray that God would bless our 8th Grade and Kindergarten graduates as they complete these respective steps in their Christian education. We thank God for enabling each one of these young people to grow academically, physically, emotionally, and, most of importantly, spiritually during their time here at Gethsemane Lutheran School. All are encouraged to attend the special Ascension service that will be held off-site at the Sumtur Amphitheater at 9:30 am on Sunday, 5/13! It is always a good to remember that Jesus lives and rules eternally. Ascension also reminds us that Jesus has prepared a room for us in heaven.

Jesus wasn’t the first to ask it; he won’t be the last. “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” That is the question we’ll explore in further detail in our Bible Study this Wednesday evening, May 1, at 7:00pm. The answer to that question has eternal ramifications.

During the season of Lent we gather for worship every Wednesday evening at 7:00. Take a break from the stress and business of the work week and find peace and comfort in Jesus, Our Great High Priest.

Special thanks to all who helped and supported Christian Education Sunday and the Pancake Feed held between services! A fun day and exciting to see so much support for Christian Education! To God be the glory!

All men are invited to early morning Bible Study that takes place on Wednesday mornings at 6:00 AM at HyVee. The group will be starting a new study of the book of Revelation on 1/7. Come enjoy some fellowship and breakfast while we study God’s Word together.

Over the past few weeks, our students and teachers have been preparing for our annual Children’s Christmas Service. Many hours were spent on memorizing Bible passages, Christmas hymns and songs, narrations, and cues for when to stand, sit, and start. It is a good amount of work – but a labor of love. What…

Our celebration of Christmas begins with Christmas @ GLS on December 21. A bowling party, special lunches, and classroom gift exchanges are all on the schedule. With joy we celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus!

God certainly blessed our Children’s Christmas Service in many ways. The children did a wonderful job of sharing the Christmas Gospel in both Word and song!

A special thank you to all the kids who participated in our Children’s Christmas Service.  It is always a privilege to hear God’s Word proclaimed through children!  God is gracious and good!

Gethsemane’s Boys and Girls winter basketball seasons are in full swing.  We have 5 teams competing during this winter schedule with games played December-February.  Go Falcons!
