Lord Jesus, your love for children is obvious. You welcomed them. You held them in your arms. You blessed them. As the school year begins across our nation and in our community, we pray that you would bless the education that these children receive – whether that is remotely at home or in person in a classroom. Help them grow in their understanding of all of the subjects that they tackle. Keep them focused on the task at hand. Make them diligent in their work. Keep all of them safe and healthy. And, as our children return to school here at Gethsemane, help them to not only grow academically and emotionally and socially and physically but also spiritually as they hear about your great love for them every day. Amen.
