Jesus leads us! The Parable of the Sower and the Seed reminds us not only to share the Gospel but to feed our own faith with the Gospel. “He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” Psalm 23:3
Jesus provides for us! The one who miraculous fed the 5,000, continues to provide us with all we need both physically and spiritually. “He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside quiet water.” – Psalm 23:2
Jesus cares for his sheep. Jesus cares about his sheep. Psalm 23:1 – “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”
In his parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37 Jesus reminds us that anyone who needs our help is our neighbor. Think about someone who could use your help today and then, out of love for Jesus, go and be their neighbor.
Lord, we thank you for this great country and for the freedoms that we have as its citizens; we also thank you for the men & women who have sacrificed so much to preserve those freedoms for us. We thank you especially for the freedom from sin and death and the power of the devil…
