Gethsemane will once again be celebrating our Nebraska Lutheran Schools Week in conjunction with our annual Spirit Week! It’s a special week where we not only show our school spirit, but we celebrate and thank God for the blessings of our Lutheran Schools. This year’s event is Monday, February 18, through Thursday, February 21.
Our annual Back 2 School Night again includes the chance to bring in all of those supplies! We also will have treats and fellowship tonight to catch up with folks you maybe haven’t seen in a while. Join us at 7p and enjoy the light backpack on Thursday.
School parents – Please remember to register your child(ren) for the 2018-2019 school year on the TADS registration portal. Need help? Shoot me text, call or email anytime. Happy to assist! The other GLS teachers and I look forward to seeing everyone back to school in a few weeks.
Each year, WELS schools throughout the region join together under one theme. The school year theme is then worked into the daily and weekly happenings throughout the school year. The theme for the 2018-2019 school year is “Walk with God – Talk with God.”
Thank you to all the kids participating and everyone who helped make “Splash Canyon” a fun time during our VBS this past week! Good to say see all the kids enjoying themselves and learning more about Jesus!
Each year, our church family is blessed to hear God’s praises sung from the lips of the children attending Gethsemane Lutheran School and/or who are part of the other musical groups. Children praising God………..perhaps the simplest……….but arguably the best music one can hear! To God be all glory and praise!
Special thanks to the kids choirs, adult choirs, soloists, keyboardists, pastors and everyone else who helped during our outdoor worship services for Ascension. Principal Lauber, from our sister congregation at Good Shepherd is seen here directing the children’s choir.
Kindergarten Round-Up has begun for the 2018-2019 school year. Please know we have limited spots available so first come, first served. Interested in learning more? Please contact the school office.

Our celebration of Christmas begins with Christmas @ GLS on December 21. A bowling party, special lunches, and classroom gift exchanges are all on the schedule. With joy we celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus!
